ORDERING & TERMS OF SALE

I will review your order and get back to you with an invoice. Generally, I process orders within a few days. If you don't hear back from me in 3 business days, please contact me.

Click on the for items wanted. Once you have added all of the items you would like, click the Inventory tab upper left on the page to look for other countries or categories of interest. When done shopping, visit the Cart page and add your information, then "Request Invoice.” I will review the order and get back to you by email with an invoice and payment details.
You can add items from pages without in the special box on the form.

Copy and paste the entire line for each item you want into the ADDITIONAL ITEMS box in the Cart form. Erase any items in the line that refer to items you do NOT want.

Account	We will ship immediately to regular customers, who can pay by check or other methods, or split into several payments.
Check, money order, cash	$, € or £ accepted. € payments by banknotes only. £ may be paid directly to our Barclays account. We will quote a bank “middle rate” for € or £ in the invoice. Cash can be sent in an envelope with cardboard, carbon paper or aluminum foil to block light.

Paypal & Credit Card Restrictions Collapse/expand

We reserve the right to refuse Paypal or credit cards for certain classes of merchandise (such as gold, consigned, discounted or wholesale items), for delivery to certain countries or addresses, or to add higher surcharges pursuant to recent court decisions. Such surcharges would show clearly on your invoice.

Name & Address First

You must supply to us directly, by email, phone, or letter, your NAME and SHIPPING ADDRESS. If the name or shipping address is different from that on your Paypal account, please explain. When we have name and address, we will prepare an invoice with instructions on how to remit to our Paypal account. We prefer that you log in to your account and send payment but if you wish, we can make a payment request through the Paypal system.

Surcharges & Restrictions

I pass on just a portion of their high charges:

USA: 1% of their 3% fee
Non-USA: 2.7% of their 4.7% fee

Wholesale sales, discounted retail sales, or where shipping costs are greater than 25% of the total, full fees (3-4.7%) will be billed back to the customer.

Non-US Books and Heavy Items

Heavy orders (including books) shipped outside USA will require more expensive trackable shipping methods, insurance, and full value declared. Paying by other means opens cheaper options, and may result in lower customs fees. Do not put the name of any country or city in a Paypal message as U.S. government spyware may cause the payment to be returned.

Minimum Order / Service Charges Collapse/expand

Processing small orders usually results in a LOSS to me. I do not mind small orders from regular customers, but generally must decline orders from new customers under $10 (USA) or $20 (outside USA), or $25 (outside USA payment by Paypal or credit card). Book and non-book items are considered separate orders. Book orders under $250 outside USA, or which do not fit in a flat-rate envelope will generally be declined, as postal rates are prohibitive. Any order outside USA in which shipping costs are 25% or more of the total charge will have a $3 service fee added. Registered shipments under $100 incur a $3 service fee to cover special packaging and paperwork. Shipments by Fedex incur a $20 service fee for the extra work and travel.

Shipping Information

We charge you exactly what we pay the postal service, period. No handling charges. For USA a few smaller coins may be $1-2, and foreign under $5 but without tracking. Insurance or registration extra. Unless you give a go-ahead when ordering, we will quote the exact charges on your invoice and ask approval before charging.

Coins

First class or priority. Higher value shipments are insured or registered. If you do not require tracking, small items can go letter mail for $1.

Books

Book rate (media mail) unless you request first class.

Shipping to Non-US Addresses Collapse/expand

No invoice is included in package (unless you request) and we declare a wholesale value. We used to declare “metal stampings” and “metal castings” but due to recent changes, can no longer do this to EU countries. Please let us know what works with Customs in your country.

If you pay by Credit Card or PayPal we may have to use more expensive insured shipping methods and declare higher value.

Books

Books shipping is horribly expensive. Generally we must refuse book orders outside US. You can always ask.

Liability in Case of Loss or Damage Collapse/expand

US & Canada

Delivery is guaranteed. Save the packaging if something is missing. Exceptions:

Failure to notify us of a change in shipping address.
Declining or failing to remit sufficient for postal insurance when billed.

Non-US

All risks to buyer. Registered mail to "first world" countries rarely gets lost, but it does happen. Full postal insurance is available to many countries, but declared value (customs) must match insured value. In the event of loss of a registered item where maximum indemnity is fixed by the USPS below $50, there is NO reimbursement to the buyer, as the costs of processing the claim exceed the amount gained. Failure of delivery is not valid grounds for a charge-back claim; chargebacks will be treated as a failure to pay for collection purposes.

Returns and Refunds

Your complete satisfaction is my goal, so if what you receive is not wanted for any reason, please return it. I offer many unusual things, and would rather you see it and decide for yourself, than pass it up from uncertainty, so feel free to order anything "on approval". No strict time limit, but ten days after receipt should be enough time to make a decision. Please let me know if you need longer. It helps if you include the invoice (or photocopy) in the same package with the returned goods. Pack well to avoid damage in shipment; use the original packing if still sound. No reason need be given, but your comments help me improve my service.

I will pay reasonable shipping costs for returns where I have made a mistake.

Returning Items You Have Slabbed Collapse/expand

If you submit to NGC, PCGS, or any other third party grading or authenticating service, any item purchased from me, it is returnable only at my discretion, and may receive a partial refund. Coins which are not slabbed for reasons of authenticity are ALWAYS returnable for full refund, no questions asked. Coins you wish to return because of grade assigned, or lack of grade assigned are a different matter. A coin which receives no grade, a "details" grade, or a grade lower than I have assigned myself has sustained reputational damage which may or may not be warranted, and a consequent loss of value. It would be unethical of me to resell the coin without advising potential buyers of this damage. The decision to submit a coin for third party grading is yours, and you must accept the consequences, good or bad.

What do you collect?

Please let me know in detail what you collect. New material may be offered to customers first by printed list or individual offer, and if I do not know of your interest in that country or category, you will not get the offer. I sometimes give early notice of new books in your areas of interest, often with low earlybird prices.
